National Trails Day: Pharr Yarns Family Trail Hike
Come join the Carolina Thread Trail for a 4-mile hike in McAdenville starting on a new portion of the Pharr Yarn Family Trail (formerly the South Fork Trail) to Cable Point and back. Thread Trail Community Coordinator Ashton Lamb will share details about all the latest and greatest happenings with the Thread Trail in eastern Gaston County along the way!
Officially opening later that afternoon, the Pharr Yarns Family Trail is a 1.5-mile gravel/paved greenway in downtown McAdenville. The previously named South Fork Trail is natural surface and the terrain is relatively flat.
The hike is not recommended for people with mobility limitations.
