As part of the National Trails Day festivities, join Carolina Thread Trail for a guided hike on the Girl Scouts, Hornets’ Nest Council Trail! (Yes, it’s a mouthful.) This trail weaves through a lovely 358-acre property protected by Catawba Lands Conservancy, which is also designated as an NC State Significant Natural Heritage Site for its special biodiversity. The trail and property also reside within the Girl Scouts’ Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Campus (another mouthful!), which is a regional hub for girl scout troops to do camp activities. A Carolina Thread Trail staff guide will lead you on a 4-mile out-and-back hike while educating on the abundance of wildlife found here. The trail is all natural surface and moderate difficulty. See you on the trail!
Thank you for registering to join us at the upcoming program! Keep an eye out for an email the week of the program with more details.
