National Trails Day: Poston Park Guided Hike

Come join the Carolina Thread Trail for a National Trails Day hike at Poston Park to get a sneak peek into the Spencer Mountain and Poston Park trail projects! While enjoying a moderate walk, you will have the opportunity to learn the latest details about some of the most exciting new trails coming to the Charlotte region! You will also get to see firsthand where some of these trails will be located.

Details:

Course: 3.5-mile natural surface trail hike
Time: Saturday, June 1 | 9-11 am
Parking Address: 1101 Lowell Spencer Mountain Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056
Audience: All ages welcome. The trail is not accommodating to people with mobility limitations or strollers. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are permitted.
Facilities: There are bathrooms available on site.

We Provide:

Experienced guided hike leader
First aid equipment
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Snacks

You Should Wear/Bring:

Plenty of water
Closed toe hiking shoes
Hat and sun protection
Personal medical supplies (EpiPen, inhaler, etc.)
