Join Carolina Thread Trail and Catawba Nation staff for a hike highlighting the natural beauty and significant history on the Catawba Nation Greenway Trail. In addition to the beautiful views of the Catawba River participants will learn about the proud and significant history and culture of the Catawba Indians who have resided on these ancestral lands for nearly 6,000 years.
Dr. Robert Carter, who serves as the Catawba’s Nations Outdoor Education Specialist, will shed light of the Catawba Nation, including an important environmental and cultural project aimed at restoration of native river cane plants. It will be an exciting morning of exploring and learning at the Catawba Nation!
